Sigma-class Assault Shuttle
Overview
The Sigma-Class Assault Shuttle is a rugged, short-range tactical transport designed to deliver small strike teams, breaching units, or high-value personnel into hostile environments. Built with reinforced armor, enhanced deflector shielding, and layered heat dispersal systems, the Sigma is engineered to survive direct fire during urban drops, orbital insertions, and close-range fleet engagements.
At 30 meters, it is the smallest and most agile of the Army/Marine deployment vessels, often launched directly from larger transports such as the Epsilon or Descent class.
With seating for up to 80 passengers and space for two full squads of troopers, the Sigma serves in roles ranging from ship-to-ship boarding operations to emergency medevac, hostage retrieval, and deep insertion behind enemy lines.
Though compact, its armament is formidable for a ship of its size — equipped with heavy lasers, forward-facing cannons, jamming systems, and a repulsorlift-based landing system optimized for rough terrain and combat zones.
Sigma shuttles are often assigned to elite units, Royal Guard detachments, or rapid deployment strike forces — a symbol of the Imperial Republic’s readiness to bring peace through precision, speed, and resilience.
